Departmental Dinner & Drinks

We would like to thank Rutger for taking us all out to dinner & giving us an opportunity to celebrate & let loose (which we most certainly did). Dinner at PrinsH was an enjoyable evening with an extensive menu with varoius cuisines. Looks like Anita's original idea was perfect, especially since our night extended into the wee hours.

During our meal, we enjoyed a lovely red wine from Chile called Colchagua Valley & remained on our best behaviour.

Here we see that Rutger is doing his best to remain TOTALLY serious while the camera was out for action. Then as soon as it was gone, his face would completely change & he would become a comedy act with his fantastic impressions & accents.

Then Rhiana & Anita started to get cozy ... I think it all started to get a little wild shortly after this "famous" kiss :) I know what your thinking so just STOP IT - it's not that kind of website.

As our eyes got smaller & smaller, Rhiana started to take off her clothes. Well ... not really all her clothes - just her tie came off & made its way around the room. First on Anita ...Then on me, along with a hat. Speaking of hats, WHAT is up with this hat???Then Anita started to sing ... need I say more?Then some dumbass (whom shall remain nameless) brought up the idea of tequilla shots. As I said earlier, our eyes got smaller while our smiles got bigger. Then came our final hugs for the evening before staggering into a taxi.

Listen to what the wise women in blue says & do not drink excessively or else you might wake up the next day feeling REALLY crappy or WORSE ... you might wake up in a strange place without any clue where you are - wink wink ; - )

The title says dinner & drinks but in reality, it was should say drinks & dinner, since we did not roll out the door till well after 2:30 AM! It was an excellent night and I am already looking forward to the next "dinner".

Thank You VERY Much!

A giant thank you to Melissa & Paul from an excited Bubbles in Holland. Image my surprise when I came home on Wednesday to find notification in my mailbox of an unexpected package, which I excitedly picked up at the post office Saturday AM - bright and early - despite being afflicted by a WORLD CLASS hangover! This posting's was inspired by the arrival of a lovely package that travelled all the way from New York City! It contained a combination of awesome "goodies". Above shows how my nickname seems to be spreading around the world - TOTALLY CRACKED ME UP! With the added bonus of the enclosed chocolates which I will certainly devour as soon as I am cured from the mysterious head-thumping & stomach eruptions brought on by excessive wine, tequila or perhaps a cigarette (OH MY GOD - yuck - what was I thinking) .This package of love revealed MANY L'Oreal products which I will definitely put to VERY good use - eyeshadow is PERFECTLY timed since mine is currently approaching it's final days! Loved the sharpener, mascara (mine is really messy & often results in raccoon eyes), eyeliner & renewal cream (which I hope will reverse the damage from Friday night).

Despite my torturing hangover, I simple could not resist the urge to tear open the giant bag of ATOMIC FIREBALLS, gobble one & giggle over the exploding fire that took over my mouth. Not great for my stomach but my taste-buds just keeled over with joy at the reminder of these fabulous candies. Arnie & Bubbles are so grateful for your love package - THANK YOU!

A Taste of the Party

The music was a mix of live band with a DJ during breaks & appealed to everyone. From "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" (a classic) to Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive" to "It's Raining Men" and much much more! I discovered later that there were all kinds of cozy corners and rooms with different entertainment but unfortunate for me, I did not make it out of the main room. We also shared the dance floor with some ... hmmm how do I describe this ... tall, stilt- walking characters in white. Let's just call them the "White Ones" - TREZ cool. I think the below photos will explain.

Ann & I became friendly with the "White Ones". So did Randip, Lacra & Rayan ... and ... Angeliki & Rhiana. These 2 are hiding from something or someone. I consider myself very fortunate to work in such an international environment, with some truly fantatic people. I will continue to introduce those whom I deal with in the scope of my daily work & have grown to respect & cherish.

Introducing My Team

Friday was an GREAT party to celebrate our achievements from 2005 AND to appreciate those that we work with. I have a terrific team and our days are filled with laughter, especially Friday! Monday is another thing - but some of us more than others (whom shall remain nameless) simply LOVE Mondays :) I think it is an honest assessment on my part, that a fantastic time was had by all, judging by the hangover stories that were reported on Monday.
